Three layers of ownership

NFTs aren't a checkbox in Clash Front. They're what you fight for, who you fight with, and who fights for you. Three layers, three chains, three real gameplay levers.

Land — the parcels you play on

The hexagon-city land NFTs are the world itself. Owning land in Clash Front is owning ground on the map:

  • L3 singles — a single parcel (~14 acres, ±161 battlefield frame). Polygon-tier. The building blocks.
  • L2 estates — larger holdings (~7 hexes minimum, up to ~200 for PALACE-tier EPIC estates). Ethereum-tier. Fight as whole boards, not individual parcels.

Land is permanent geography. Never regenerated, never remixed. Same parcels you own on map.hexagon.city are the ones you defend in CF.

Landlord tax: a landowner takes a 30% share of the CT flows that pass through their land. Occupiers spend, the land clips its cut, the landowner receives — even if the occupier isn't the owner. Enrichment (below) is how landlords make their land worth occupying.

Masters — your commanders

Ether Fantasy character NFTs. In CF, a Master is a real gameplay entity:

  • You own her (permanent) or rent her (short-term, expires)
  • She oversees a territory — required while you hold the land
  • She leads an army — her fame feeds WarScore
  • You play as her when a battle goes live — she IS your champion in the 3D engine
  • Great deeds inscribed at their sites in the World Chronicle — permanently, in her name and yours

52 rentable + 3 heroes = 55 usable Masters at launch. See the Masters page.

Pets — DNA blueprints

Every pet NFT is the spawn-right for its species, not any single pet instance. Owning the NFT means you can summon that species on-demand, anywhere on the map, at a premium.

The blueprint model: pet NFTs are formed from DNA. The NFT is the DNA record — the species template. Species headcount matters (mythic species have ~2 blueprints in existence, so only ~2 players can ever summon that species at will). Individual pet bodies — populace, workers, line soldiers, spawns — are uncapped commodity, drafted freely by the land they live on.

Why the premium? Any biome will draft its native pet species for free (or cheap) — a volcanic parcel drafts Fire pets, a rain forest drafts Leaf, and so on. Non-native summons cost more, because you're using your NFT blueprint to bring a species into a land that doesn't belong. That's the whole strategic point:

  • Attacking a Fire-typed defender on volcanic ground? Own a Water/Ice blueprint. Summon a counter.
  • Defending in fog for weeks? Own a Phantom or Telepath blueprint. Native draft plus weather boost.
  • Storm season on HS2 favors Lightning? Own the blueprint, thin the enemy line.

DNA fragments drop from great battles and enriched-land yields. Enough fragments craft a new pet NFT of that species — the world grows its own blueprint pool over time.

DNA claims are earned through ongoing $CT spending across the Ether Fantasy games, with priority weighted by regional concentration — regions with fewer active players have an advantage.

Summoning costs — gold + wood + fur + iron, scaling with blueprint rarity and biome match. Non-native summons pay a premium; rare mythic blueprints need heavier ceremony (rare metal, iron harness). Full breakdown in the economic reference tables.

Chain split — three chains, three purposes

ChainAssetsWhy
Ethereum L2Estates (L2 land NFTs)High-value long-hold assets. Sale liquidity, prestige.
Polygon L3Singles (L3 land parcels)Volume tier — 292k+ parcels. Cheap gas for frequent transfers.
Pentagon ChainCharacters (Masters), MOBA escrow, the CT token itselfNative to the ecosystem. On-chain per-user CT accounting, escrow, burn accounting.

How ownership shows up in-game

Sign in with your Pentagon Games account. CF verifies with the identity API server-side and binds your PG identity to your CF governor. From there:

  • Your land shows on the world map with your color and empire name
  • Your Masters pool is live-synced from the Masters API (owned + rented, KO status, revive timers)
  • Your pet blueprints unlock the summon panel for those species anywhere
  • Your CT balance tracks all in-game economy, on-chain, per-user

If the API is temporarily down, CF falls back to a demo roster — you always have officers to play with, but real ownership is what shows up when the API is live.

Named artifacts (Singulars)

Beyond the base rosters, there are 36 named one-of-one items — the world's Singulars. Legendary weapons, rites, potions. Each has a specific location and a story. Some are permanent (bind to first-finder in the World Chronicle), some are consumables tied to the Descent rites — the Midway Potion, the Last Fortune, the Blood Scimitar, the Homeward Bowl.

Equipped signature artifacts grant an elemental aura — the mechanic that lets Masters (who are element-free themselves, per canon) shape element strategy. Equip a Flame Scimitar, and all Fire-species soldier stacks in your Master's army fight at +10% while she's alive. Non-matching elements get nothing; the aura stacks with weather + terrain in the same ±35% affinity cap. Legendary Singulars may bump the aura higher. See Masters.
